משנה: אָמַר רַבִּי יְהוֹשֻׁעַ בֶּן קָרְחָה וְעוֹד זוֹ הִתְקִין רַבָּן יוֹחָנָן בֶּן זַכַּאי שֶׁאֲפִילּוּ רֹאשׁ בֵּית דִּין בְּכָל מָקוֹם שֶׁלֹּא יְהוּ הָעֵדִים הוֹלְכִין אֶלָּא לִמְקוֹם הַוַועַד:

MISHNAH: Rebbi Joshua ben Qorḥa said: In addition, Rabban Joḥanan ben Zakkai instituted that even if the head of the court be anywhere, the witnesses should only go to the seat of the council.
