imaṃ yavam aṣṭāyogaiḥ ṣaḍyogebhir acarkṛṣuḥ tenā te tanvo rapo 'pācīnam apa vyaye
For remedy from disease
This barley they plowed mightily with yokes of eight, with yokes of six; therewith I unwrap away the complaint (rápas) of thy body.
nyag vāto vāti nyak tapati sūryaḥ nīcīnam aghnyā duhe nyag bhavatu te rapaḥ
Downward blows the wind; downward burns the sun; downward the inviolable [cow] milks; downward be thy complaint.
āpa id vā u bheṣajīr āpo amīvacātanīḥ āpo viśvasya bheṣajīs tās te kṛṇvantu bheṣajam
The waters verily are remedial; the waters are disease-expelling; the waters are remedial of everything; let them make remedy for thee.
